In the sketch I have not enough shown the vertical recess to trefoil or 4 foil, to give space. Thus a section through a b opposite would be a2 b2 the edge of the 4foil meeting the surrounding fillet exactly. At fig C is given the archivolt & its section. There are here all the marks of very early tracery.
