A. is certainly accurate taking the p p section its
4 foil and trefoil both careful and note the trefoil
not run up to point of as at Doge’s palace,
but Noe also 4 foil rolled: trefoil truncated
and pierced filleted cusp sharp: Their relation is about
thus the 4 foil truncation
twice as wide as trefoil.
In the sketch I have not enough shown the vertical
recess to trefoil or 4 foil, to give space. Thus a section
through a b opposite would be a2 b2 the edge of the 4
foil meeting the surrounding fillet exactly.
At fig C is given the archivolt and its section.
There are here all the marks of very early tracery
