                                                                      		unusual in such wondrous capital:  of pure early 5th in fir
                                                                      		second story:  on very early R. shafts:  all with flat
                                                                      		c3 sec. finally in first story, 4th with c on an excessively
                                                                      		quaint form of R. the rose a mere bud, not open: though
                                                                      		it is open above:  and the leaves curled round but (I think
                                                                      		not filleted)
                                                                      		All the other figures on this p 33 G Book are of the beautiful
                                                                      		door of the house at the Miracoli.  The finial given twice
                                                                      		bottom & top:  the ½ dentil real size: General outline
                                                                      		fig 2 with masonry  Jamb section fig 3 in which
                                                                      		a-b is just across the width of the book open and ½ an inch more.
                                                                      		fig 5 angle of cable. curious while in centre C it has
                                                                      		a leaf.  The archivolt section is most carefully given
                                                                      		 at fig 4 and its profile fig 6.  I never saw such sharp
                                                                      		small dogteeth, three to each gabled dentil and the
                                                                      		gabled dentils so flat and outer one so huge:  All cut
                                                                      		with the greatest precision, the larger dentil in red Verona
                                                                      		marble.  The finial looks as if intended for a bracket
                                                                      Duomo Murano p 51 Goth. book.  A with b and c its sections
                                                                      		a moulding round the large basrelief of wreathed birds and flowers of
                                                                      		Aquileian or Byzantine work. built into the outside end of the aisle.
                                                                      		This moulding is all cut in a piece with it:  and is remarkable
                                                                      		as an early form derived from the Greek dentil;  so that I must not
