                                                                      No 87 88 (89.	Bacon Palace	112
                                                                      
                                                                      		Just behind the Palazzo Priuli is another, now carefully
                                                                      		daguerreotyped:  called by valet.
                                                                      		Its back forms a bridge - or is traversed by a Sotto portico
                                                                      		which closes the calle -
                                                                      		This view of it daguerreotyped also:
                                                                      		The two lower windows are pure Byzantine 3rd dentil
                                                                      		and all while they are yet carried on capitals of
                                                                      		the superb red Verona marble - same as front - grand
The outer line of dentils are however larger                          		and massy leaves:  Now here, we have pure
[diagram] averaging this.                                             		Byzantine 3rds or late capitals;  and in Campo
                                                                      		Sta Maria formosa, impure late 3rds on pure
                                                                      		Byzantine Capitals!
                                                                      		No 87 is however the one to the right of the
                                                                      		two windows - fig 1 rude profile with joints of
                                                                      		dentil and inlaid stone all in their relative places
                                                                      		though quite out of proportion:  The figures are the
                                                                      		number of dentils in each piece of stone - counting
                                                                      		them thus [diagram] Fig 2 is top of inner
                                                                      		dentil, the outer top is managed in same way:  fig
                                                                      		3;  one of the half dentils of inner row, traced close.
                                                                      		Fig 2 is traced: but the stone is more worn There.
                                                                      	No 88.  Fits into the arch soffit, in being in
                                                                      		of fig 1 in No 87.
