                                                                      		great roll gives a peculiar character to the cusp
                                                                        It is always filled by as much of the other orders
                                                                      of the tracery as it will admit, and thus, the entire
                                                                      tracery being scrawled opposite the interstice 1 which is
                                                                      the largest, reaches nearly as deep  as h of section at A n[o]
                                                                      last page:  it is seen with its deep cavetto and recess
                                                                      beyond in fig 1 No 15.  The spaces 2: all of course alike,
                                                                      reach out not quite to g of the section and are as the
                                                                      space in fig 1 without the small   in centre;  a great
                                                                      triangular basin.  While the interstices 3 all alike, reach
                                                                      ing only a little beyond f of the section, are treated as
                                                                      at 3 opposite to save the ugliness of the deep cutting in
                                                                      small space.
                                                                      Venetian houses, Mem 1.  At Pont del Teatro Malesobran.  a beautiful
                                                                      balcony with the trefoiled arch and cherubs heads
                                                                      filling ths spaces a fine case of transition;  The slab
                                                                      at the base, dentiled instead of cabled, and fine lions at
                                                                      angles.

                                                                      in the arcade of Doge’s palace:  and ran away to the Rialto
                                                                      to warm myself, meeting Effie I took her with me to the
                                                                      quay of Murano:  It was a grey day - the sky lay in calm
                                                                      horizontal bars far to the northern horizon:  thus it
                                                                      suddenly broke to an open - long gulph of amber green:
                                                                      and against this - clear in  rainy air - rose the chains
                                                                      of the Tyrolean Alps, - one gloomy, serrated rank of purple
                                                                      grey, so clear that every
