                                                                      2.	Traganus imp. crowned, a sword in rt sceptre in left
                                                                      hand.
                                                                      3.  "A U I A N U S Agustus" Imperator.  A globe in rt
                                                                      hand with "mundus paxis" on it, sceptre in left.
                                                                      The Sixth has again coarsely worked heads.
                                                                      The Seventh, (between the sixth and this, is the first
                                                                      open arch of the lower arcade.  it is described at p 8
                                                                      Palace book.
                                                                      The Eighth  Figure at p 8 1 Gothic book.  There are no
                                                                      inscriptions on this capital.
                                                                      1.  Arion, with a common fiddle, and a cup ending in a
                                                                       long porboscis like horn.  he is on his dolphin drawn
                                                                      at p 28 palace book:  he is playing with a curious
                                                                      Scoth fiddler like twich of the brow, sway of the head
                                                                      and j[k]erk of his ugly pug nose, wonderfully felt:  Yet no
                                                                      real grotesque approaching that of the north.
                                                                      2.  Figure with curly heari;  ends below in two bears paws
                                                                      capitally laid upon the foliage;  has a guitar, which it
                                                                      plays with a beat double stringed bow or plectrum
                                                                      held between the forefinger and thumb and passing over
                                                                      two middle fingers while the little finger is bent;  I
                                                                      think the old woman described at p 22 palace book, as
                                                                      "drawing double threads through frame," is playing this
                                                                      instrument - (There can be no doubt of it, I see, by her
                                                                      companion)
                                                                      3.  A monstrous but powerfully cut head, fig 1  p 29
