                                                                      Byzantine Freieze.  The fine cornice of the Riva del Carbon occurs
                                                                      in a beautiful continuous piece of a house standing on
                                                                      detached pillars on the canal close to the church of the
                                                                      Minacoli beyond the Palazzo Santo, the lower house
                                                                      above has been restored but a Romanesque cross and
                                                                      six or seven animal inches, are built into the side of
                                                                      it:  and in to windows remain two beautiful shafts of red
                                                                      Verona Marble, with the early truncated head
                                                                      A brick arch in the back of a house close by is
                                                                      remarkable as attaining the ogee stilt in brick as it
                                                                      B. opp.
