It is on the canal behind the Palazzo Priuli: the most splendid deep red alabaster set in its window spandrils - along the main tier daguerreotyped - the marble is left in only one of the detatched windows on the right - there it is the most vivid verd antique The shafts of the main story are curious for the Long capitals of the two next side, & and those with the short capitals of white marble short in centre The shafts with the long capitals are of Verona marble x so likewise all the bases: between the joint a and joint b of fig 1 p 11 Palace book these bases being set on a high octagonal white marble pedestal, the height of the old balcony, as usual
