[GB.57L] [GB.57] 57 [Palazzo Giustiniani] No 91 House opposite Ca d Oro Vid p 145 M This is the upper story White house to left before Rialto The lower -first has 6 ths 6 at. 4 det with even more delicate capitals of & same ornament - Section same as [former?] two but and same section: trefoiled cusps below [just?] between them . cavetto neither coinciding with arch at top but cylindrical so deep nor shallow & cusp proportionally not leaving fillet black bases not so far back - Capitals and shafts both of beautiful Delicate leaf & twist finial marble. mouldings of Istrian stone. [?] Have all had in inlaid marbles in sq now [torn?] away Bases as Giustiniani . but cavetto not Lower story restored so flat. and bases & mouldings both rough chiselled There are four det 6ths in upper story without cusps & I think originally Capital section thus finer [diagram] Fig 1. A joint so. for this section is than usual but ill-though [diagram] A with rich effectively cavetto cut. but the det with boys heads fifths below are The cusp is in its [relations?] to arch. as the 4 foil [diagram] B house at Malibran but it is filleted only not trefoiled with this [diagram] Fig 2. The masonry of upper 6th is also the two flanking windows larger . making [diagram] Fig 3 wider lower tier 3 inches wider at . a each side The pils all same as shafts down to as they cant have had cusps a. but have no band. In each story there are 3 shafts & four Done. pils to at windows The central pils are cch on both angles and while their 4 foil 5th are all of same size. the lower 6ths have Done.
